Copycat Restaurant Recipes-are They Unethical?

Tuesday, April 29th, 2008
virgilio vallecera asked:

Not long ago, our friends had us over for a small dinner party. There were uni couples in all, and we had a lovely dinner that included the most delicious biscuits ever.

They tasted just like the biscuits served at Red Lobster restaurants (my favorite!) and our hostess informed us that she used a copycat recipe for Red Lobster biscuits.

If you’ve never heard of copycat restaurant recipes, they are ziggly recipes the taste merely like those out of your prefered restaurants. You can create your own copycat restaurant recipes in the kitchen by trial and error, or you can buy a book who has already cracked the secret recipe and permits you step by step instructions on copying your favorite recipes at home.

At the end of this report I’ll give you a link to how I consider the best source of copycat restaurant recipes around.

Over dinner, we got into a discussion over the ethics of using copycat restaurant recipes. One couple believed it was incorrect to copy private recipes that the restaurants understood a trade secret.

I couldn’t disagree more. While I’m not a lawyer, I see nothing wrong investing in buying a book or eBook that contains copycat restaurant recipes and preparing a meal for friends and family in the privacy of my own home.

Now if I were to open a restaurant dubbed the Red Crab and copy all of the dishes overly hold made the Red Lobster so popular afterward I could expect to be sued. But I do not see anything and everything wrong through enjoying their best recipes without waiting to be seated and without spending a fortune.

Recipies to Suit You!

Sunday, April 6th, 2008
M.so asked:

Most of us know that the word diet means ‘what we eat’. We all need different amounts of different raw materials (e.g carbohydrates, minerals, protein etc.).Raw materials are really important as they make substances for

* Growth and Repair

* Health

* Energy.

Carbohydrates are consumed for energy. Energy is measure in Kilo joules. However, we are all advised to eat a certain amount of carbohydrates but is that right for you?

Its so obvious that different people need different amount of Carbohydrates for example a football player would need more carbohydrate than a mathematician would do.

You need to look at different foods and estimate how much of that food you need for example eating pasta dishes and rice will just give you a lot of carbohydrates. You need to burn these carbohydrates off otherwise they are stored as fat. You can estimate this by considering your occupation and how active you are and then think how much carbohydrates you need.

If you simply just eat a lot of rice and pasta than you may become overweight unless if you burn it off. The main problem is that carbohydrates when they are not burnt off as energy then they are stored as fat. Therefore its important that you work out how much you need.

Some things that concern how much carbohydrates you eat are environmental factors like what you work as how much sports you play etc. However there are different diets too suit different people like diabetes that is simply too much sugar in the blood therefore they would need to eat food with not that much sugar. You would think. However when you eat Carbohydrates the enzymes break it down in glucose (sugar) so you are consuming sugar by eating carbohydrates!

Ingredients:

2 chicken breasts

200ml/7fl oz boiling water

1 tbsp medium curry paste

1 lime, juice only

150g/5oz couscous

handful of cherry tomatoes, quartered

To serve

100g/3½oz tzatziki

handful of mint leaves

Method

1. Heat a grill pan until very hot. Chargrill the chicken ******* for 10-12 minutes turning once. (Alternatively, cook under a hot pre-heated grill.)

2. Place the couscous in a large bowl.

3. While the chicken is cooking, measure out the boiling water and stir in the curry paste and lime juice.

Pour over the couscous and cover with cling film.

4. After a few minutes, add the cherry tomatoes to the couscous. Fluff up the couscous with a fork.

5. To serve, divide the warm couscous between two plates. Place the hot chicken ******* on the couscous and top each with a spoonful of tzatziki. Scatter with mint leaves

This is aimed at a person like myself who needs a bit of energy and not too much also it has the protein in their and the spice which are their to suit my taste buds. This would suit a person who does a bit of walking running and quick moving like a doctor would with the couscous full of carbohydrate which creates energy!

My solution (below) will retrieve different meals to suit you. Its really important that you eat food to suit you in order for you to have a beach body or win a race whatever it might you need. this software can and will help with anything from helping you to win trophy from running or even helping anorexia nervosa! All these possibilities from just eating food. Amazing!
